Fat democrats, lesbian phone sex, and Tello-vision

I had a dream the other night that I ran into Ellen DeGeneres and we took a series of photos for my blog. Actually, what happened was, we took some photos for the blog and I found out that she had a crush on me. Then I ended up going home with the guy who took the photos and he and I made out. So disturbing! I mean, Ellen's not really my type, but we'd certainly make a better match than me and that guy.

I don't have those photos of us, but I did find this rather awkward one of Ellen fumbling with Martin Short dressed as a fat guy.

It kind of looks like a photo taken from the Democratic National Convention, doesn't it? I'm not sure what I mean by that, but I just can't help thinking that it looks like Hillary Clinton is holding up an extra large Bill. I am voting for Hillary, by the way, so I don't mean any disrespect.

But enough about that. So as I covered in my blog awhile back, I went to the Reeling Film Festival in Chicago a couple of months ago. While I was there, I interviewed with Tello Films.

They are kind of like a lesbian version of YouTube in that you can upload your own films, although Tello produces some of their own videos as well.

I originally met the owners at Outfest last summer. We kept in touch and met up in Chicago for Butch Jamie's screening where they hosted an after party. A couple of days later, we met up again for an interview in the theater complex.

The video just recently got uploaded. It's in three parts, although I'll just post part one for now -

Also, I found a really funny video posted online from The Big Gay Sketch Show called "Lesbian Phone Sex." It's nothing racy like you may be hoping for, but it is entertaining. The woman calling in is Julie Goldman; I've seen her in a few other things, and she's really funny.

I'm not wearing any clothes.....
....that were made in sweatshops!

Coming Soon to a country near you!

I'm happy to announce that Butch Jamie is now being represented for foreign sales by MultiVisionnaire. MultiVisionnaire is a sales agent, meaning that they shop the film around to various distributors worldwide. They are taking the film to the European Film Market in a couple of weeks to try and sell it.

Each distributor may decide to design their own key art for the movie, although for now MultiVisionnaire has designed this for sales:

I'll keep you updated about when and where the film will be released. In the meantime, you can check out our screenings page for upcoming showings.

On a quick tangent, I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I'm in Curve Magazine this month -

I wanted to show you this cute little icon that they sent me the other day. They call it a button -

I suppose if you printed it out, you could make it into a button.

My hot dog has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R

Happy New Year! I've been away for the past couple of weeks for the holidays, but am now back to my weekly-ish bloggings.

Curve Magazine is featuring a photo of me in this month's issue from the Tampa Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. It's the same photo I posted in my blog a couple of months ago:

Curve is writing a review of Butch Jamie for their March issue, so I'm looking forward to hopefully reading good things.

I don't have any official New Year's resolutions this year, but I plan to have 2008 be quite eventful, with a possible release of Butch Jamie, a possible greenlight for Heterosexual Jill, and more festival traveling. I'm scheduled to fly to the International Women's Film Festival in Seoul, Korea this April! I may be at the Verzaubert Queer Film Festival in Germany this spring as well, although my plans on that are TBD.

One of the characters from the film, Andi the German (real name Andrea), lives in Berlin so I may be able to visit her if I go to the festival. She lived in Albany at the time we shot the film, and then moved back to Germany after she graduated from law school (yep, she, Lola, and Francine from the film are all lawyers!). Here's a picture of her dressed as a hot dog:

It's from Halloween a couple of years ago. She wanted to go as a German sausage but couldn't find an outfit for that. So she bought a kid-sized hot dog outfit instead.

I didn't have any great ideas like being a hot dog, so I dressed in drag which I had handy from the movie.

Here's a pic of me showing the hot dog who's tougher -

And to wrap up this little tangent of ours, here's an Oscar Mayer hot dog commercial from 1965:
